ey babe,
nice to meet you
It started from a place of desperation to find a salon that had everything I was looking for but I quickly realized it just didn’t exist.
I wanted a space where artists could truly thrive: a supportive team environment without the pressure of competition, where creativity and work-life balance were both valued. A place where each person could grow their own business while still feeling connected to something bigger.
I also knew the kind of client experience I wanted to offer. I pictured an atmosphere that felt laid-back and welcoming. Whether you walked in wearing a messy bun and sweatpants or dressed up in your favorite outfit, you’d feel comfortable and right at home.
Because I’ve always loved hosting, I wanted to bring that energy into the salon, too. Serving seasonal drinks in fun glasses, adding snacks, and creating an environment that feels warm and inviting. More like hanging out in a friend’s home than sitting in a salon chair.
And as a maximalist at heart, I wanted the design to reflect that. Something bold, full of character, and unlike anything I’d ever seen in a salon before.
That’s how House of Hair was born.
